I’ve long thought verification should be part of the internet en mass. It helps with accountability and trust. Not as a status symbol but in a “this is an actual human” sort of way.

I get some people want to operate anonymously or under a pseudonym. So verification should be optional, but my guess is verification would be a lot simpler on Medium than Twitter. For those of us in the Partner Program, you’ve already verified us in a sense — the details on the W9 should be more than enough information to verify we’re humans and not bots.
