If your personal publicaiton is specific to a topic or a genre, then, yes, you might consider keeping it around. However, most personal publications are simply collections of stories that didn't land in another publication.

Sure, topic sorting and navigation is an issue, but it's an easy fix with a quick pinned post at the top of the profile, which is the same play with publicaitons (until navigational tabs come back).

But, as with everything online, everyone has to find what works for them. I think that, for most people, the profile is a better option than a personal publication with these new tools.
